Hokowhitu Bridge Club

We play the card game bridge! Our Club has about 60 members, and we meet twice weekly to play bridge. Our players range in age and bridge experience, from very new players to very experienced players.

Our Club started in 1992, and we are affiliated to the national body, NZ Bridge. Our Club is managed by a voluntary Committee.

How To Join

If you want to learn to play bridge, our 2026 lessons will be held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, 1:30 - 4pm, starting on 28 April and running for six weeks. The first two lessons are complimentary, so you can decide whether bridge is for you. If you continue the lessons, the fee is $80. This includes tuition, materials, refreshments and membership for the rest of 2026. If you'd like to enrol, email hokowhitubridgeclub@gmail.com or text Julie on 021 127 4143.

If you already know how to play bridge, we'd love to have you join us! We have "Convenors" for each session who can match you up with a partner. Email hokowhitubridgeclub@gmail.com and we'll make arrangements. Come along and play for a month and see whether we're the Club for you.

Membership Fees

Our annual membership fee is $115.
We also pay "table money" of $8 at each session we play.

When and where we meet

Wednesday evenings, 7:10 pm - 10:30 pm, and Thursday afternoons, 1:10 pm - 4:40 pm
